Design II
Analisys
For this project we need to understand the concepts of massing and ordering so we can create an addition to the original model of one of the most iconic modernist homes in America, the Smith House by Richard Meier. For this addition we must use conceptual analogies and new patters to incorporate and meta-idea that satisfices the client ideas.
Narrative
Our client is a big boat enthusiast, for his house extension He want to build something that resembles to front part of a boat. The client wants most spaces to be connected to each other, he wants the exercise to be connected to the family room so there can be more interaction between people around. This client has three children and a wife. The reason why he wants a lot interaction between the spaces is because he didn’t have a good family relation and he didn’t spend to much time at home with his family when he was younger.
